When the month of October is mentioned, the first thing that usually pops into one’s mind is Halloween!

Halloween, which is also known as All Hallows’ Eve, is a yearly celebration observed in many countries on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day.  It begins the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, the time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs and all the faithful departed believers whose souls have yet to reach heaven.

Today our society celebrates Halloween entirely different.  When we think of Halloween, we conjure-up the idea of vampires, monsters, ghosts, skeletons, witches and devils.  All can be pretty scary and, unfortunately, have something in common with the aforementioned.  SCARY HAIR!

Summertime can take a toll on our hair.  Sun, salt and chlorinated water, high-lift tints and bleach for that natural-blonde look can leave our hair looking dry, dull and lifeless.  That’s scary as well.  With the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays just around the corner,  it’s nice to enter into the festive season with great hair!

Cutting many inches off of your hair is a viable option.  Afraid to go shorter? Go for it!  A shorter look may be just what is needed for that fresh holiday hair.  Want healthy hair, but like your length? Be daring and cut off all the unhealthy ends to achieve frizz-free hair.  After all of the broken and damaged ends are cut, attach hair extensions.  Extensions are the fastest and easiest way to get your hair long again without waiting for it to grow back.

Hairdreams Hair Creations hair extensions manufactures top-quality hair with bonds made of crystal polymer.  This means after months of wear, your extensions will look beautiful and shiny without any damage.  In fact, after removal your own hair will not only be in an excellent condition (the extension actually wraps around your hair and protects it), but longer as well.  With the Laserbeamer Nano technique by Hairdreams, you can have your new look in a couple of hours from start to finish. There’s nothing frightening about that!

Why go through the holidays with scary hair?  Buy professional-quality, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, lop-off those 2-3 inches damaged ends and try premium quality hair extensions by Hairdreams and Lori Veltri.  BOO!

Hair Tapestry- The New Hair Look!

Hair tapestry #4

Tired of the same-ol’ when it comes to creating a new and different look for your hair?    Clips, feathers, flowers, chalking, headbands and scarves have been the go-to mainstream. Now  there’s a newer, trendier look that’s catching on like wildfire and it’s called Hair Tapestry.

Hair Tapestry is a fresh and easy way to create something original and can add more interest to your Boho waves and end-of-summer styles.

The idea was originally inspired by traditional Andrean tapestries from Argentina but the colors, patterns and variations are limitless. Needlepoint, cross-stitching or embroidery thread is woven through a block of hair using a Tapestry Loom creating colorful and intricate patterns. Utilize your own hair strands, or if you want easy pop-in and take-out designs, try old or left-over clip-in hair weft extensions that are used as the needlepoint canvas. The hair extension technique allows you to preserve your design(s) much longer without any care or maintenance to the tapestry. If deciding to attach directly to your own hair, the design can last a week or so with proper care.

While achieving this  may require some needlework mastery, you can give it a try with very simple and easy-to-find craft supplies. A colorful thread, needle, and a tapestry loom is all that is needed. Weaving the design is as simple as an “over and under” threading. Hide the knots behind the strands and weave in as many colors or patterns as wanted.

Colorful threads are a fantastic way of expressing your attitude without any long-term commitment. Going to a concert?  Weave in some vivid shades.  Attending a dressy party?  Your hair deserves metallic thread that will be a sure hit by adding some bling and texture.

Whatever the occasion and look, this is a quick and easy way to have fun with your hair.

Change up the same-ol’ and show your creativity with Hair Tapestry!
